TOOTH LESS

So I know I have been bad about blogging. So let me catch you up. First of all the bad news. We have had more a few more of Brad's relatives pass. First this year was Uncle Steve, and now Lawrence his second cousin. It has been hard again for Zack as it brings back alot of memories from when Ross passed. Which by the way today is the one year anniversary.

This morning Brad called me at 5 am and said that I would need to come and get him from work. I though oh great last time he did this he broke his back. Come to find out he was training a new driver and when he went to step out of the truck he stepped on black ice and slipped and fell. When he fell he hit his head on the lugg nut of the wheel and then the ground and blacked out! He has a huge goose egg on the back of his head. He also injured his leg in the fall. So he had to be taken to the DR. They think it is just soft tissue damage and should heal if the pain remains for longer than a week he will go back in. He also had a CAT scan and the found his brain and it is fine. The interesting part is that while checking his vitals they found he has ...... High blood pressure!!! Ross constantly told Brad he sould get checked as he and Cindy have high blood pressure and also stresses way to much! So he of coarse has never gone, so today Ross must have needed to giveBrad a good wack on the head to get him to go get checked. He now has to take medication for it. I am glad that this incident brought light to this issue. I don't want to loose Brad and neirly the age his father died. 60 is way to young and 48 for a heart attack is also young. So now I have more ammo for eating healthier! haha

Also in my leave Zack lost both front teeth. I did not like the look of him with only one tooth in front. He looked so hillbilly. It went crooked after the first fell out so that made it worse. Now they are both gone and it is really weird to see him with no teeth in front. I remember when he was a little baby and was starting to get his teeth, I didn't want them to grow yet, I really liked my baby to look like a baby. He grew up way to fast! So now he reminds me of a old man and when he kisses my cheek it feels like a mushy kiss. Not much behind it(he he).
Well besides all that I have had a really rough time still with not conceiving. I have hit bottom and am now in the MAD stage and I hate seeing mothers that are pregnant and can't care for themselves let alone the baby, and yet they keep them. I am frustrated that even if they did give the baby up, I couldn't adopt unless the it was a personal adoption. A "white" baby is $28,000.00, and the cheapest ( Indian, middle Eastern) are $13,000.00 Which is not in my means to afford. I also am frustrated that I still can't get an honest answer as to why exactly I am not conceiving. I should be able to and Brad is good. But together it is like oil and water. Just won't mix. So we have one last shot at this and we will be doing this procedure next month. If it doesn't work then I may have to get counseling.. seriously! I have a great husband that is understanding and so hopeful but I am one hair from loosing it. I am so glad to have Zack and he is enough for me, But he deserves a brother or sister. Of all the things in life that I was prepared for raising an only child was not one of them. If I just had a solid answer I could deal but I am not there yet, continuing work in progress. Pray for me that I don't loose my mind...

Well sick or not we decide it was a great idea to go sledding. We found this great little hill at a near by school to Bob and Carmen's house. Brad had went out earlier that day and bought 4 sleds. There were 4 adults and 4 children. Carmen at the camera, Bob and Brad at the top and I played catcher. The hill was step and Zack hated it! If you didn't stop you would go right into the building. That is why you see so much snow flying I had to put on the breaks as soon as we hit the road or we were in trouble. Zack will go on the smaller hills. As usual he is scared of the big ones, he has to get use to things before he is courageous enough to try them solo. It didn't help much that these sleds are really fast. They have this really slick bottom and you really can get going. I came down alone on my belly and was headed right at Carmen. She thought she could stop my like the kids just stick out your leg and stop me. Well with the speed and my dainty frame. I kinda took her out. At least she fell on me and not the ice. I had to compose my self I thought it was hilarious! Brad said he saw it coming from a mile away. Oh well didn't to either of us any good. Good times. Next time I think I will take Zack to Robert Frost.( my elementary) we had big and small hills I think Zack might have more fun and there are no buildings to run into. Just as long as we can get him to hold on to the sled and not bail when he gets scared. Then he should do great! ( in theory)
