Yeah It finally snowed !!! Zack has been waiting for snow for a month, and the morning he woke up and snow was falling he was ready to play! He got all bundled up and emediatly made a snow angel. He is excited for when we have enough snow to make a snow man and go sledding. We are really in the christmas cheer at our house. We decorated the house on Thanksgiving, when we usually don't get it done till mid Dec. This year I wanted to do a Rustic theme for my tree and am happy with the way it turned out. Brad is really into the Holiday Season. He got all new outside decorations. You'll have to come by to see I don't have a pic.

Every year we fo to my parents house for our Dutch Holiday. We eat authentic Dutch food and play games and of corse we have our suprise guest. This year I found a recipe for Ratitoullie soup and Speculatas that my dad loves! I figure with the name at least the kids might tast it. I am so thankful I have so many wonderful people in my life to share in these good times, and if you recieved an email for this blog consider you one of those cherished people.

haloween

Happy Haloween!!!

This was Zacks first year of having a Haloween party at school. He walked in a parade, then went back to his class for the fun and games. When he got home it was down time before he had to hike around the neighbor hood. We went with our neighbors Tim and Mille Stocking and there adorable daughter Violet. She was a fairy princess and Zack was a ninja. I was surprised they lasted as long as they did. Violet is only about 16 months so we had to walk a little slower, she did not want to be held. That is until we got the he house where the host Jumped half way out the door and then she was a all about the momma. We still managed to fill half of Zacks bag, no to mention we had four bags of candy left at the end of the night. OH I almost forgot we went to Grandma DeJongs on the Monday before and had a pumpkin party. The kids all got there own pumpkin and decorated with foam stick-on's the pumpkins are also foam so we can keep them forever. Then they played games, bean bag toss,pin the nose on the pumpkin, ring toss, and then it was up stairs for cookie decorating. We had a ball and it was nice to see the kids all dressed up together. Like I said earlier Zack was a ninja, Kolbe was spiderman, Brooklynn was a princess ( Monday was also her b-day big 4), Parker was a dog, Trinity Dawn was a newborn (haha). and Tanner was shrek but was hiding from the camera.

I have been busy at our house. I painted and decorated Rosses room and decorated it as a tribute to his military days and his family. It turned out nice. He was at his sisters Shirleys and I thought they would keep him until 5 or 6pm but he had a head ache and came home early. That is when Brad came to the rescue. He detained him until 4pm so I could get the photos on the wall with the help of my neighbor Debbie. They pulled in the drive when as we were coming down the stairs. His reaction was "oh you cleaned my room! Oh these are old pictures! Wow these are old pictures!" He went through every one of them and gave a story with almost every one.

That was last week and this week end I painted the front room and began to decorate. It is cream and white trim with a red wall on the south wall. I am waiting for my art work to get here then I will invite ya to come and see! Not that I am some great decorator. But I am quite proud of myself! Well until next time. Peace!!!
